Angel tattoo designs are gaining popularity

Gambar
Angel tattoos are probably the most common designs for women worldwide. Angel tattoos can be versatile and may be used to create unique designs in a lot of different ways. Angels are thought to be one of the most beautiful heavenly creatures and represent different ideas to different individuals. Professional tattoo studios typically have a number of angel tattoos to pick from and each might possibly be altered into whatever design you'd like. Angels have represented beauty, purity, and spirituality in several different cultures throughout history. The character of a angel has often been employed to symbolize someone's transformation to a higher plane of existence, either physically, mentally, or spiritually. Most angel tattoos have a great amount of detail so the attractive nature associated with the design and style and the intricate aspects of a design can match the loveliness associated with the angels which have been depicted in literature and art. Swim When It Hurts

Gambar
I met Marcy on a subway platform in lower Manhattan back in September 2017. She had a lot of work on her arm and indulged me as I took quite a few photos. This building is part of the Oceanic Hotel on Star Island  in Isle of Shoals, New Hampshire, where she used to vacation when she was younger. Below this image is the phrase "swim when it hurts," which reminds Marcy about overcoming things that are difficult: These tattoos, part of a whole nautical sleeve, help her "center herself." This Cape Cod-style lighthouse helps her find her way in life. Marcy credited her work to Becca Genné-Bacon, who tattooed her when she was at Hand of Glory Tattoo ( @handofglorytattoo )in Brooklyn. Becca has since moved on to Kings Avenue Tattoo ( @kingsavetattoo ) in Manhattan. I love  Becca's work, and follow her on Instagram at @beccagennebacon . Thanks to Marcy for sharing her awesome work with us here on Tattoosday! This entry is ©2019 Tattoosday. If you are seeing this on an...

Arrows on the W Train (Tattoosday Plays the Alphabet Game)

Gambar
In case you're just joining in, I have been recounting a day in August when I played the Alphabet Game, spending the day attempting to go through the NYC subway system, in alphabetical order, finding a tattoo on every train line. You can catch up on the progress (or see the whole adventure) here . I had surpassed last year's attempt by successfully finding a tattoo on the S train and set my sights on the W. In case you were wondering, there's no U train, the T train was discontinued in the 1960s and the V train only ran from 2001-2010.  At 2:25 PM, I got a W train headed toward Whitehall Street. Between 23rd and 14th, I met Mark, who had these cool arrows tattooed on his right arm: Mark had to hop off at 14th Street, so we had a very brief conversation, but he did manage to tell me the arrows represented strength, and he credited Daniel Delgado ( @danieltattoos ) with the work. Daniel currently works out of Brooklyn's Hand of Glory Tattoo ( @handofglorytattoo ). Shortl...

DINOSAURS ARE AWESOME!

Gambar
At the end of June, I met Dana near Bowling Green in lower Manhattan. She shared this awesome tattoo on her thigh: This cool tattoo features a trio of dinosaurs, a triceratops , a Tyrannosaurus rex   and a velociraptor . When I asked Dana why she chose a big dinosaur piece like this, she exclaimed, "Because dinosaurs are AWESOME! And, I love Jurassic Park ." She credited Ron Mor ( @ronmortattoos ) from Hand of Glory ( @handofglorytattoo ) in Brooklyn with this fun and cool tattoo. Thanks to Dana for sharing her awesome dinosaurs with us here on Tattoosday! This entry is ©2018 Tattoosday.
