Pokémon on the J Train (Tattoosday Plays the Alphabet Game)

Our Alphabet Game continues (see the previous progress here) as we figure out how to get to the J train from the G.

11:08 AM - After talking to Zach on the G train, I had to hop off at Bergen, but realized I had to leave the station to switch directions - ended up helping a woman up the stairs with her stroller (good deed for the day accomplished).

11:10 AM - Jumped on a Manhattan-bound F train. Also of note, my battery is still at 75%. Honestly, three hours in and I've done the A,B,C,D,E, F and G - not too shabby. Approaching lunch, considered taking A train to Fulton but am staying on the F for only three stops more. Considering taking the J back toward Broad Street where I work, so I can lunch and use the restroom. All depends on what the MTA gods provide.

11:29 AM - Boarded a J toward Broad.

I rode the J to Broad and, in the process, interviewed Kenny, who shared this alternative take on a Japanese half-sleeve:




Rather than your traditional dragon and koi, this cool work features two of the Pokémon universe, Gyarados and Magikarp.

Kenny credited Kristin Bonafide (@kbonafide) from Rabbits Den Tattoo Parlor (@rabbitsdentattoo) in Milltown, New Jersey with the work. Super fun!

An idea... (or: Economous Musgrove Chapter 1 Part 1)

I just had a crazy thought: I have an m/s that has not gone anywhere for a long while so perhaps I could share it with you all 500? 1000? words at a time. Perhaps feedback might get it moving? Perhaps it might be cool to let you all roam the Half-Continent again? It will be un-edited, first-drafty (draughty - holes in it, get it?) , and like un-spellchecked (not a real verb) but what do you think? Still here! Still here!

Just in case you thought I had shuffled off somewhere, I am still about, honest, being very preoccupied about editing (actually a major rewrite - you should see all the green pen scribbled over each page, the inserted pages with even more green scribblings) and slack about blogging. I heard once that you need to post at least once a week to be considered a real blog, so I don't know where that leaves us... Just thought I would acknowledge that "clede" (a corruption of Mr Hranac's 'cledu' verificon word) meaning a country dance, and most likely "verger" (coined by Alyosha's daughter) meaning a builder of fortifications, might well have a place in the Half-Continent. 'Tis a bit perplexing about how such things work though; can I even have them to use? They are other people's stuff after all. I could sit here and just plunder you all and never have to come up with my own stuff - though where is the fun in that...! endless invention is ent...
